Both pleasing to the eye and a supreme performer at speed, the VMX-12 has a large wing area to promote excellent glide characteristics, and is capable of extensive flights as this striking Spaceplane glides gracefully back to earth.













Originally a scale proving test bed for a full size Spaceplane (and constructed almost entirely of high grade balsa for strength and to reduce costs and weight), the VMX-12 is a true "rocket glider", as it launches and recovers complete, as a spaceplane would, i.e. with their engines intact (no pop-pod to go searching for after a flight)!













Meticulously designed to combine low drag and inbuilt stability, the eye-catching straight-up boost phase is designed to claw every foot of altitude from a C11's or D12's motor burn.













The innovative elevon system then transitions the VMX-12 to glide mode without a mechanical system reliant on the motor ejection charge, negating any possibility of terminal flight failure due to ejection charge problem or ejection residue build up. Ideal for plugged motors, there is also an option for a vent, to release an unplugged motor ejection charge, incorporated within the kit.
